It’s that time of year again! Mayor’s Health Week is taking place from 7th – 14th May 2016.

This year we want to raise the energy of Waterford focusing on the benefits of kindness- where we treat ourselves and others with kindness and promote positive mental health and wellbeing through #kindwaterford.

What is #kindwaterford?

#kindwaterford is a community based initiative aimed at promoting community-led action around mental health and well-being using the concept of kindness as focal point. This action will

  • raise awareness of the protective factors for mental health and wellbeing,
  • reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues
  • promote available community supports
